Join me for the greatest adventure of our lives!
This blog will follow my efforts to join the Royal Canadian Air Force. It is a long and confusing process without many resources explaining it online. So whether you have no idea about the air force but find the idea of launching yourself into the aviation industry with work experience and education for free is exciting, or you are guided by patriotism to serve your nation in an exciting job, or you want a little bit of both, I aim to journal the process and explain so that many other people can see what a fantastic opportunity it is.

Who am I? My name is Hue Anderson. I spent a few years of childhood near Cold Lake Air Base and loved seeing the CF-18s fly overhead. My Dad worked at a local tower as a Flight Service Specialist, and ever since a pilot let me sit in his jet, I've thought they were the coolest things ever. I began seriously looking into joining the forces in the fall of 2019 and have been balancing working full time, upgrading 3 grade 12 courses, volunteering with the local cadets since then. It often seems like a lot, but I'm still excited and motivated to conquer the stars, and I hope you join me!
